A current focus is on developing business models for digital platforms and services in the areas of cybersecurity and VR. He has led, managed and researched in European Community research projects for more than 20 years, and has acquired third-party co-funded projects of more than 30m EUR budget. A key result of these initiatives was the creation of several enterprise innovation networks. The companies learned to enhance their value creation through new forms of cooperation, and by adoption of new materials, processes, and technologies. They transformed their organizational processes towards improving their R&D management and networking capabilities for cooperative innovation. Information systems in this context enable the knowledge exchange between involved actors, and allow to create and manage complementary relationships between firms.
